Since time immemorial, Indigenous Peoples have been stewards of these Lands and Waters. Across Turtle Island and other homelands with which we are connected—through ancestry, migration, labour, or extraction.
We honour and are in gratitude to the Land’s influence on us and our responsibilities to the Lands we inhabit:
The ancestral homes, cultures, and teachings of the Treaty 7 signatories, including the Siksika Nation, Piikani Nation, and Îethka Stoney Nakoda Nation (comprising the Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Good Stoney Bands), and the Tsuut’ina Nation. This land is also the homeland of the historic Northwest Métis and the present-day Otipemisiwak Métis Government.
The unceded, stolen, and occupied ancestral lands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation) and səl̓ilwətaɁɬ (Tsleil-Waututh).
